They always direct us to follow the moral values and principles of life. Everyone has a book which helped to change one’s life. Books are a great source of knowledge for us and they play an important role in the lives of students. A book never gives wrong advice to its reader and every book we read has a message to learn. In fact, a recent study shows that reading books has a positive impact on the brain. When we read a book or listen to a story, the brain releases certain harmones that allow us to turn the story into our own idea and experience. This is known as ‘neuro coupling’.       A library is said to be the “Heart of a College”. The quality of education given in college can be roughly judged from the type of books in its library. Buildings alone do not make a college. Every college must have a good library.   Our college library is housed in a small building. It has many books on various subjects. Students come to the library and take books of their choice either for reading in the library itself or for study at home.    Our college library is under the charge of a qualified librarian. Mr. Ganesha{sir} He is an efficient and hard working man. He is very helpful to students and members of the staff. He encourages those students to read as many books as possible.   Dr. S R Ranganathan (1892-1972)       August 12th is being celebrated as  National Librarian's Day in India, in remembrance of  National Professor of Library Science , Dr S R Ranganathan (1892-1972), who had spearheaded library development in India.      Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan (S.R.R.) 12 August 1892 – 27 September 1972) was a mathematician and librarian from India. His most notable contributions to the field were his five laws of library science and the development of the first major faceted classification system, the colon classification. He is considered to be the father of library science, documentation, and information science in India and is widely known throughout the rest of the world for his fundamental thinking in the field.      His birthday is observed every year as the National Librarian's Day...
