Mental Illness forces patients to acquire apologetic stance: Tazmeen Amna
Mental
health has been debating ever since the bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput
surrendered. Mental health has been a subject of debate in books for decades,
but no one has paid attention to it. It is over, as usual if no one cares about
it. Her grief-stricken relationship seems to have everything in common. She's
putting it all out through this book.
There's also a book called 'Goner' that was released in July. It's debut work by Tazmeen Amna, Delhi based author gives peek into the mind a young woman going through a mid 20's crisis. Here she recounts the bitter events of her ex-boyfriend. With no job, a failing art career, months of expensive therapy, a cast on her leg and mystery man in her life, the question remains if she would be able to recover from her embracing wastefulness.
Tazmeen Amna said " There is no point in hiding this. It was a nasty affair. It tormented me for years. I tried very hard to get out of this. I cannot tolerate people calling me 'weak', people quickly diagnosed me as 'victim mentality'. But I needed my old life back".
Adding to this she told " My life has been pretty good since getting out of it. Perhaps I may exaggerated some events of my life in that book. To get out of this, I started some bad habits. I was in a situation then, who could not be saved and who could not be in such a situation. Even if there is someone like that, it is not okay".
Lady shri ram college for women in the capital laughs " Sadly our people come forward to offer solution including 'don't think too much just pray' but that is not the answer for it. Instead of treatment these useless talks will not cure chronic depression. A lot of elite also suffer from depression but are hesitant to say. They should boldly come forward and tell their depression. Many Hollywood actor-actress openly talk about their problems. Even bollywood needs to take a step forward in such a matter. Especially in the work of the suicide of a talented actor like Sushant Singh Rajput".
Adding that much research into 'Goner' including talking to her therapist, Tazmeen Amna has already started thinking about her next book. "Absolutely thanks to my anxiety. I have come so far from a hard-hearted mind. From now on I'm a feminist, I'm the voice for those who don't have a voice. I'm very interesting to fix all this and break out every mould".
